Boling commits to Georgia

One of the most unheralded prospects on USC's wish list was Alpharetta, GA two-way lineman, Clint Boling. The 6'5 270 converted TE was very impressive at USC's summer camp, and it appeared that USC was the team to beat for Boling heading into July. Along with USC, Boling had offers from Vandy, Kentucky, Wake Forest, and Duke.

However, Boling grew up a lifelong fan of his home state Bulldogs, and had been attending games there since he was a child. Georgia held their final prospect camp over the weekend, and Boling made a strong impression on the Bulldogs. University of Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt personally offered Boling a scholarship at the conclusion of camp today, and the Chattahoochee High School product committed on the spot.

USC liked Boling as a defensive tackle, but UGA offered him as an offensive lineman. While it is a loss for the Gamecocks, you have to be happy for Clint Boling, as he will get to live out a life- time dream, by playing his college football at the University of Georgia.
