ESPN's Top 150 Prospects for 2007

While I'm not sure if 22cock, freehawk, and cock au vin composed the list for ESPN, I thought it would be good to list the players from that list that USC is involved with. It should be noted that Quintin Richardson was omitted from the list, and I think it was not by design. So, here are the prospects USC is involved with from ESPN and Scouts, Inc.

12-RB Brain Maddox-USC commitment
14-CB Gary Gray-USC commitment
16-WR Golden Tate- ND, ALA, SC, Big 3 in FL
17-WR Junior Hemingway- USC is fighting to get him on campus this summer.
23-WR Israel Troupe- USC is in the top2 along with Florida
27-DL DJ Stafford- probably ends up at Auburn
28-WR Deonte Thompson- USC could get a visit, but he will go to Miami.
35-RB Lee Chambers- committed to Mississippi State over USC.
37-QB Logan Gray-USC dropped out of the running once it appeared Garcia was headed for SC.
45- QB Stephen Garica- USC leads Florida
49-QB John Brantley- Texas commitment continues to phone and text USC coaches.
53-WR Mark Barnes- "I like USC's chances."
60-DT Tydreke Powell- USC is invovled, but UNC is the team to beat.
69-DB Jamir Williams- USC will be a factor 'til the end.
70-RB Jonathan Dwyer-GT leads
85-WR Roderick Davis-
92-OL Trinton Sturdivant- UGA commitment is still calling USC, FL, and ND.
115- DT Ian Williams- USC is in the top 5 but it looks like FL and ND.
122-DE Travian Robertson- USC leads Clemson and NC State
130-DB Morgan Burnette-UGA will be hard to beat.
136-LB Scotty Cooper-USC has not given up on Clemson commitment.
141-LB Charles White- UGA commimtent would jump on a USC offer.
148-WR Alphonso Bryant

Notable exclusions from the list are DE Cliff Matthews, and OL Quinitn Richardson.

Clemson QB commitment Willard Korn is rated 4th by ESPN.

you think White would consider jumping ship if we offered him?

I definitely think he'd jump ship.

That Clifton Geathers info is quite intriguing. Who is it that is doing the looking? Who was his recruiter of record? I want to say it was Jr, but I can't recall. CF, is this at all realistic?

nice quote on Barnes, by the way.

I just don't see how everyone who saw QR at the Gainesville Camp could be so super-impressed, and he doesn't even make this list. oh well.
