While it is still early in fall camp, with only one practice in full gear under their belt, Cockfather Illustrated takes a look into the garnet crystal ball to make an early forecast on which newcomers will play, and which newcomers are headed for a red-shirt season.
QB-Chris Smelley- will likely be the backup to Blake Mitchell and play this fall.
WR-Moe Brown- will definitely play, and could start when USC uses a 3 WR set.
WR-Chris Hail- a definite red-shirt, and could move to the secondary in the spring.
OT-Hutch Eckerson- will likely be USC's 3rd offensive tackle and play significant snaps.
OG-Kevin Young- will likely play and could unseat James Thompson at RG.
OG-Garrett Anderson- too close to call at this point, a determination could come after next weeks second scrimage.
OG-Seaver Brown-definite red-shirt.
OC-Pierre Andrews- definite red-shirt.
OT-Heath Batchelor- a likely red-shirt.
DE-Eric Norwood- will play significant snaps at DE. Excellent pass rusher.
DT-Joel Reaves- will play sparingly.
DT-Kenirck Ellis- likely red-shirt
DE-Terrance Campbell-too close to call. See Garrett Anderson.
DE-Casper Brinkley- will be a starter at the bandit end position.
LB-Japser Brinkley-will be the starter at MLB.
LB-Rodney Paulk- it appears that Paulk will play on special teams and backup Marvin Sapp.
LB-Vandaral Shackleford-definite red-shirt.
CB-Captain Munnerlyn- will play in the secondary, and could return kicks.
FS-Darian Stewart- likely starter.
ROV-Emmanuel Cook- should see action on special teams and as a backup safety.
FS-Ncik Prochak- a likely red-shirt.

CF or anyone: do you have any strong feeling today on Cliff Matthews?
I am beginning to like USc's chances with Matthews. Should he attend USC's scrimage this weekend, I think USC would move ahead of UGA.
While vitually eveyone in the town of Cheraw would prefer to see Cliff stay in state, Matthews is still being pushed to UGA by someone in his inner circle.
Any clue who the person in the "inner circle" is?
yes, I do know who it is, but would rather not say in a public forum.
Yep,if CM was truly leaning to UGA it wouldn't make much sense for him to go to USC's Saturday scrimmage when he's free to go to UGA's practice.
