Top Prospects Attend USC Scrimmage

There were five key prospects on hand at today's scrimmage, including USC commitment Travian Robertson. The 4 star defensive end is reportedly up to 237 pounds, and looks great physically. USC fans need not worry about Robertson. He is 100 percent committed to Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks. He was wearing a USC Nike white Tee-shirt with garnet sleeves. Robertson's father, Tony, was also in attendance today.

Robertson's Scotland County High School teammate, 6'5 220 pound DE Byron McKnight also made an unofficial visit for the scrimmage. McKnight appears to have grown since Junes prospect camp, and has the frame to grow into a 285 pound defensive tackle. Expect a mid-September commitment for McKnight.

Sumter high School Offensive Lineman Kyle Nunn was also on hand and was officially offered a scholarship by offensive line coach John Hunt. I fully expect the 6'5 285 Nunn to de-commit from Virginia Tech and choose to attend South Carolina.

WR Mark Barnes and junior LB Chaz Washington, both of Richland Northeast High School, were also in attendance.

One thing that stood out to me was the attention paid to each prospect by every member of the coaching staff, including head coach Steve Spurrier.

Make no mistake about it, Steve Spurrier is going to bring in top flight talent, and USC's program will reach new heights under the New Ball Coach.
